  • Polk Apothecary is crafted specifically with melanin-rich skin in mind, using all-natural, skin-nourishing ingredients. Our products prioritize hydration, brightening, and balance—without harsh chemicals or artificial additives.

  • Yes! While we focus on melanin-rich skin, our formulas are designed for all skin types, including sensitive, acne-prone, and dry skin.

  • We use high-quality natural ingredients, some of which are certified organic. Our goal is to ensure effectiveness over certification labels.

  • No! Polk Apothecary is 100% cruelty-free. We never test on animals, and our suppliers follow the same ethical practices.

  • Most of our products are vegan, except for those containing honey or goat’s milk. All products are from natural sources and don’t use any synthetic dyes, chemicals, or fragrances.

    • Exfoliate (1-2x per week) → Gentle Exfoliant

    • Tone → Perfection Toner

    • Treat → Vita-Me Serum or Spotlight Serum

    • Moisturize → Marigold Mango Butter

    • Mask (1–2x per week) → Honey Hydration Mask or Soothe & Brightening Clay Mask

  • The Spotlight Serum, Turmeric Rose Brightening Bar, and Perfection Toner work together to brighten dark spots and even out skin tone.

  • Yes! Our Sensitivity Bundle is designed for delicate skin, featuring gentle and hydrating ingredients. Always do a patch test before use.

  • Because we use natural ingredients and avoid harsh preservatives, our products have a shelf life of 6-24 months. Length of shelf life is indicated on the back of each product label.

    • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

    • If a product changes color, texture, or scent, it’s best to replace it.

  • We never use synthetic fragrances! Some products contain essential oils for their skincare benefits, but we keep them at skin-safe concentrations.

 

Shipping & Return Policies

  • We currently ship within the U.S. We’re working on expanding to international shipping soon!

  • Processing Time: Orders are processed within 3-7 business days. Lead time is located at the top of the home page.

    • Shipping Time: Standard shipping takes 3-7 business days depending on your location.

    • You’ll receive a tracking number once your order ships.

  • Shipping is FREE. Shipping fees for each product have been added to the price so there’s no surprises at checkout.

  • Due to the nature of skincare products, we do not accept returns. However, if you receive a damaged or incorrect item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery, and we’ll make it right!

  • We process orders quickly! If your order has not shipped yet, we’ll do our best to accommodate changes. Please contact us within 24 hours of placing your order.

  • Yes! I provide custom facials and skincare treatments in my treatment room. You can book an appointment online.

  • I specialize in:

  • Yes! I offer virtual and in-person skin consultations to help you choose the right products and treatments.

  • For best results, I recommend getting a facial every 4–6 weeks, depending on your skin type and concerns.

  • All appointments must but cancelled or rescheduled within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment time.

    • Appointments cancelled less than 48 hours before appointment will result in 50% of the service charged to the card on file.

    • Appointments cancelled less than 24 hours before appointment and No Shows will result in 100% of the service charged to the card on file.
