Are your products vegan?

Yes, our products are vegan, cruelty-free, and clean.

What are these products for?

Polk Apothecary products can be used from HEAD TO TOE! We pride ourselves on providing minimal products for your face, body, and intimate areas. We believe that skincare also ties into intimate care, because we are all trying to achieve the same thing: cleanliness, a heathy pH balance, and soft, glowing skin.

Are your products safe for all skin types?

Yes. Although we do recommend making your product selections based on the needs of your skin, all of our products are safe for all skin types.

What is skinimalism?

Skinimalism is the act of using the least amount of products as possible to achieve your skincare goals. We provide and have a growing selection of products that have multiple uses and benefits as 3 of your favorite products in your medicine cabinet…but we put it in ONE product. For example; If you are looking for a product that helps with oily, acne prone skin, rids of hyperpigmentation and sucks gunk out of dirty pore, check out the Turmeric Rose Face & Body Bar!

 How long does it take to ship my products? 

Your support and loyalty is important to us. Processing can take 7-10 business days before receiving a tracking number. However, if your products are delayed, you will receive an email with further information about your shipment. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE “LEAD TIME” AT THE TOP OF THE WEBSITE TO INDICATE HOW LONG IT MAY TAKE TO SHIP YOUR ORDER, ESPECIALLY DURING HIGH VOLUME TIMES. SHIPPING COULD TAKE UP TO 14 BUSINESS DAYS.

Business days are Monday - Friday 

If your package is lost or stolen after being delivered to the post office or your home, Polk Apothecary cannot be responsible. You will have to make a claim with the post office. Once you receive a tracking number it is your responsibility to contact the post office about issues regarding your package. Sadly, we have no information about your package once given to the post office they would be of better assistance to you. However, If your package is damaged, you will need to file a claim with USPS, as well as, sending us pictures of the damaged products so that we can get a new order to you ASAP. If you make a mistake on the shipping address or somehow miss the package and it is returned to sender we do have a re-shipping fee. Please be careful when typing address we would hate for you to have to pay for shipping. CUSTOMERS HAVE 10 DAYS TO CLAIM RETURNED-TO- SENDER ITEMS TO HONOR THE FREE RESHIPPING OPTION. AFTER 10 DAYS YOU WILL HAVE TO REORDER.

If there are items missing from your package, please send a picture to our email, (bookprettihippie@gmail.com) a copy of your order, and what was missing. We may have you send the entire order back if there are more than two contents missing.
Once a purchase is made, there are NO Refunds.

Why is Shipping free?

We definitely hate getting to checkout and seeing outrageous shipping prices or paying $10+ for even one product, so we know you do too. We decided to add the shipping cost to the price of our products’ cost and you won’t see any extra fees at checkout that may shy you away from purchasing your new skincare routine.

How long is the products’ shelf life? 

Please read the instructions and ingredients for each product, as it will tell you instructions on how to keep that particular product fresh. Most products don’t need to be stored in the refrigerator but it will help products last longer and stay fresh. Most products have a shelf life of about a 6 months-1 year if kept out of extreme temperatures. 

What do your products cure? 

There is no guarantee that these products will cure any ailment or severe skin condition.

What is your refund policy?

All orders are non-refundable after 24 hours of placing your order. If you wish to receive a refund, please email: bookprettihippie@gmail.com within the hour timeframe to cancel orders. 

Is your packaging recyclable?

As a brand, we do not only create products that are safe for our environment, we create products that are healthy for our environment.

 To reduce our impact on the environment, we are committed to recycling and upcycling our product packaging.

 Our packaging boxes are made of biodegradable materials. Our products' containers can be upcycled after use. You can either use them to store your old jewellery or as a container to house your potted plants. Our bottles can be converted into spray bottles for watering your plants. Or as a DIY storage can for household cleansers.

Does your product contain any allergens?

Our products are free of phthalates, parabens, synthetic fragrances, and other forms of fragrances that can cause skin irritations or allergies.

How can I purchase your products?

To learn about the products and what’s to come, go to the ‘Polk Apothecary’ tab in the menu and if you like what you read, you can order there. If you already know what you want and are ready to buy, click on the ‘Shop’ tab to instantly order. 

Do I have to use all of the products for them to work? 

No. All of the Polk Apothecary products can be used alone or together but it is best to solidify a skincare routine for best results.
